Abstract

The housing of a centrifugal compressor encloses a diaphragm, an outer casing covering the diaphragm, a head that seals openings at both ends of the outer casing in the axial direction, and an outlet screw that directs the working fluid discharged from the impeller to the outlet port. The outlet screw is radially connected to the diffuser flow path on the outside, extends circumferentially around the central axis, and is designed such that the radial gap, viewed from the axial direction, remains constant, while the axial gap gradually narrows as it moves further circumferentially from the outlet port.
