Abstract

The disclosure relates to a guide configured to allow the movement of at least a portion of the beam guidance system in order to orient at least this movable portion to different orientations of the patient's head, measured around an axis of the eye being treated. The system includes an orientation analysis system for acquiring orientation-related data using one or more body parts of the patient. Using this orientation-related data, the ophthalmic laser system enables a user and / or the control unit to move the movable portion of the beam guidance system so that, during laser treatment, it maintains an orientation around the axis of the eye and relative to the patient's head that corresponds to, or substantially corresponds to, a predetermined target orientation; or that lies within, or substantially within, a predetermined target range.
