Abstract
This discloses a fluid composition for depolymerizing a polymer, comprising 5 to 90 vol% carbon dioxide in supercritical fluid form, 5 to 90 vol% superheated water, and 5 to 90 vol% an alcohol; wherein the alcohol is either in its superheated state or as a supercritical fluid; wherein all volume percentages refer to the total volume of the fluid composition; wherein the fluid composition is maintained at a temperature above 150 °C and a pressure above 500 psi for a period of more than 30 minutes.
