Diamond sensor

Abstract

A diamond sensor comprises a diamond with a color center exhibiting electron spin, a transmission circuit for transmitting electromagnetic waves, an irradiation section for irradiating the diamond with electromagnetic waves, at least one impedance converter or resonator, and a protection circuit designed to protect an electromagnetic wave source. The protection circuit acts as a capacitor for electromagnetic waves and as an inductor at a frequency lower than that of the electromagnetic waves. If the diamond sensor includes both the impedance converter and the resonator, the protection circuit is located between the impedance converter and the resonator, between the transmission circuit and a transmission cable connecting the transmission circuit and the electromagnetic wave source, or between the transmission cable and the electromagnetic wave source.
