Abstract

An atmospheric data acquisition device in the form of a recoverable drone, comprising a body with a retractable wing assembly, a variety of input devices, a control unit, a power supply, and a network interface. The input devices acquire telemetry data such as temperature, pressure, humidity, wind speed, and radiation during flight. The retractable wing assembly is dynamically adjusted during descent to refine the glide path and guide the device to a predefined or dynamically updated target landing location based on real-time telemetry data. The control unit can be trained using historical flight data to optimize ascent, descent, and landing paths under varying atmospheric conditions.The system transmits captured telemetry data to remote systems via wireless communication protocols and stores flight and environment data for post-flight analysis.
