OBSERVATION DEVICE

Abstract

An observation device is provided that is capable of observing an observation target between a distant observation target and the observation device. An observation device 10 comprises the following: a transmitting unit (20) configured to have a transmitting light field of view (Ss) and to emit pulsed light within the transmitting light field of view.a transmits pulsed light with a wavelength belonging to an ultraviolet region of a solar blind band; a receiving unit (30) configured to have a receive light field of view (Sr) and to receive reflected light within the receive light field of view within reflected light of the pulsed light reflected by an observation target; and an observation data generation unit wherein an optical axis (AXs) of the transmitting unit and an optical axis (AXr) of the receiving unit are parallel to each other, wherein a transmit light field of view (θs) defining the transmit light field of view is larger than a receive light field of view (θr) defining the receive light field of view, wherein the transmit light field of view and the receive light field of view overlap at least partially, and wherein the observation data generation unit generates LiDAR data, which are observation data, based on the signal output from the light receiving element.
