Abstract

A blood pressure measuring device includes: a cuff wrapped around a measuring point; a pressure sensing unit configured to detect cuff pressure; a pressure control unit configured to control cuff pressure; a pulse wave information acquisition unit configured to acquire pulse wave information of a subject from the cuff pressure; a first blood pressure calculation unit configured to calculate a first blood pressure of the subject based on the pulse wave information; a second blood pressure calculation unit configured to calculate a second blood pressure of the subject based on the pulse wave information acquired until the cuff pressure reaches a pressure at which inflation is stopped;A cuff pressure determination unit configured to determine a cuff pressure at which inflation is stopped, based on a feature of the pulse wave information acquired at a cuff pressure lower than the cuff pressure at which inflation is stopped; and a threshold attainment determination unit configured to determine whether the cuff pressure has reached a predetermined determination threshold, which is related to the termination of the initial blood pressure calculation. The initial blood pressure calculation unit terminates the calculation of the initial blood pressure when the cuff pressure has reached the predetermined determination threshold.
