Abstract

A processor configured to scan a bone marrow aspirate (BMA) sample, wherein the processor is configured to perform the following: scanning the BMA sample with a scanning device; obtaining, using the scanning device, scan data of the BMA sample; detecting cells in the BMA sample from the scan data; classifying the detected cells into a variety of cell types; and storing, in a memory, cell data of the classified cells, wherein storing the data further includes selecting from the detected cells at least relevant cells to be stored in the cell data, the relevant cells being selected based on a representative distribution of cell types from the detected cells; and presenting the cell data on a display.
