Abstract

Shoe (12) comprising a heel cap (32); wherein the heel cap (32) comprises a heel cup (52); wherein a rearmost portion of the heel cup (52) has a total vertical cross-sectional shape of an ‘S’ wave; wherein the heel cup (52) is attached to at least one inner compressible foam layer; wherein the inner compressible foam layer projects into a shoe opening (48); wherein the inner compressible foam layer is configured to be compressed by a heel during insertion of a foot or removal of a foot; and wherein the inner compressible foam layer is configured to hold an ankle of a user’s foot once the foot is inserted.
