Abstract

Bicycle derailleur (180) comprising: a base element (5) attachable to a bicycle frame (2), the base element (5) comprising: a first and a second laterally spaced mounting section (330, 332) defining a first and a second parallel plane (364, 366) defining a space (350) between them, the space (350) being dimensioned to accommodate a section of the bicycle frame (2), and the first and second mounting sections (330, 332) defining a laterally extending first axis of rotation (152); a first mounting arrangement (442) defining a first pivot axis (444) oriented at an acute angle to the first and second plane (364, 366); and a second mounting arrangement (446) defining a second pivot axis (448) parallel to the first pivot axis (444); a first member (604) pivotably connected to the first mounting arrangement (442);a second member (602) pivotably connected to the second mounting arrangement (446); and a movable element (600) pivotably connected to the first and second members (604, 602); wherein a section of both the first and the second pivot axis (444, 448) is arranged between the first and the second plane (364, 366).
