Welding structure of a battery can and a battery cover and battery cell with the same

Abstract

A battery cell comprising: a can having a side wall member extending in the axial direction; an electrode assembly received in the can; and a lid covering an open end provided at an axial end of the side wall member, wherein a terminal connecting part extending to an axial outside and in contact with and electrically connected to an inner peripheral surface of the side wall member is provided on a radially outer edge of a current collector plate connected to an electrode of the electrode assembly and arranged at the open end, and a welding portion where the inner peripheral surface of the side wall member and an outer peripheral surface of the lid are welded with at least a portion of the terminal connecting part interposed therebetween.
