Dirt trap system on an escalator

Abstract

Dirt trap system (14) on an escalator (12), with - a mounting shaft (18) below a floor surface (16) on an escalator (12), - support surfaces (22) arranged in a recess relative to the base surface (16) and arranged in such a way that they at least partially surround an opening of the assembly shaft (18), - a dirt trap tray (24) releasably resting on the support surfaces (22) and covering the opening of the assembly shaft (18), - and a cleaning mat (26) detachably resting on the dirt collecting tray (24), wherein the cleaning mat (26) is formed from mat profile strips (28) arranged parallel and spaced apart from one another, wherein a cleaning material (34) is attached to the profile strips (28).
