having a conductor terminal (1) for connecting an electrical conductor (9) which is to be inserted into the conductor terminal (1) in a conductor insertion direction (L). a) at least one insulation displacement connection (3) with opposing cutting edges (33) between which a cutting gap (34) is formed, b) at least one pressure spring (4) designed to press the electrical conductor (9) into the cutting gap (34) by means of spring force, c) at least one holding device (7) designed to hold the pressure spring (4) in a pre-tensioned state in which a spring force is present to press the electrical conductor (9) into the cutting gap (34), d) at least one release element (42) by actuation of which the pressure spring (4) can be released from the holding device (7) so that the electrical conductor (9) can be pressed into the cutting gap (34) by its spring force, characterized in that e) by actuating the release element (42) at least part of the pressure spring (4) can be displaced in the conductor insertion direction (L) relative to the insulation displacement connection (3).
