Secure in-chat voice playback function for encrypted messaging applications

Abstract

System for local speech playback of text messages within an end-to-end encrypted messaging application, comprising: an interaction module for recognizing user input, a graphical display element within a chat user interface, a local speech synthesis module for converting a received text message into speech, a security and encryption module, and an audio output module, characterized in that, after activation of the graphical display element, the interaction module activates the local speech synthesis module, which converts the content of a received text message into speech on the terminal device and plays it back via the audio output module.
