Abstract

Surveillance system (1) comprising a camera system, a control and evaluation system (12) and an output structure controlled by the control and evaluation system (12), characterized in that the camera system captures a person (P) using a computer unit (4), that the camera system captures screen contents of a screen (6) of the computer unit (4), that the control and evaluation system (12) uses image signals from the camera system to classify the person (P) as to whether the person (P) is an adult or a child, and that if the person (P) is classified as a child and if potential dangers to the child are detected using the image signals from the camera system, a safety function is generated in the control and evaluation system (12) which is output via the output structure.
