Abstract

Lead-acid battery, in particular GroE battery, with a housing (2) and a plurality of electrode plates (6, 7) arranged in the housing (2), wherein positive and negative electrode plates (6, 7) are provided which alternate with a separator (8) in between, wherein the housing (2) has a base body (3) open on one side and a cover (5) closing the open side (4) of the base body (3), characterized in that the base body (3) has a housing bottom (9) opposite the open side (4) of the base body (3), which is equipped with support ribs (10, 11) which cooperate with at least some of the electrode plates (6, 7) and support them in the vertical direction (12) of the housing (2).
