Abstract

A conductor terminal (1) with an insulating housing (2) having at least one conductor entry opening (20) for receiving an electrical conductor (9) in a conductor entry direction (L), wherein at least one spring-loaded clamping connection for connecting the electrical conductor (9) by means of spring force is arranged in the insulating housing (2), wherein the spring-loaded clamping connection has at least one busbar (3) and a clamping spring (4) which has a clamping leg (43) for clamping the electrical conductor (9) to a contact section (30) of the busbar (3), wherein the conductor terminal (1) has a holding mechanism for holding the clamping leg (43) in an open position and a release mechanism (8) with a release section (80) by which, when the release section (80) is acted upon with a release force, the clamping leg (43) held in the open position by the holding mechanism can be released and moved into a clamping position.in which an inserted electrical conductor (9) is clamped to the contact section (30) by means of the clamping arm (43), wherein the conductor connection terminal (1) has a manual actuating element (6) for moving the clamping arm (43) into the open position, characterized in that the holding mechanism has at least a first locking element (64) on the manual actuating element (6) and at least a second locking element (35) on the busbar (3), wherein in the open position the first locking element (64) can be locked with the second locking element (35).
