Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a device for attaching an ammunition container for sport shooters to an object, for example to the vertically mounted rifle rest bar in the shooting range, in which a short horizontal bar for supporting the rifle is located at the upper end, or to the edge of a table that is available to every shooter on the shooting range.
[0002] At the shooting range, ammunition is carried in suitable containers during training and competitions. The ammunition must be easily accessible to the shooter. Currently, there are known mounts for ammunition containers that can be attached to the rifle rest bar using a clamp. The ammunition container is placed openly on the mount to allow the shooter to remove ammunition. However, this solution has the disadvantage that the shooter has to change position to remove ammunition, and in particular has to lean forward or take a step forward, since the position of the rifle rest bar is fixed.
[0003] An alternative solution to avoid this disadvantage is to attach the familiar mount not to the rifle rest bar, but to a separate tripod that can be set up in any position. However, this has the disadvantage of requiring a relatively large, unwieldy, and expensive tripod. Furthermore, the tripod takes up space on the shooting range, and there is a tripping hazard.
[0004] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a device for attaching an ammunition container for sport shooters which does not have the aforementioned disadvantages.
[0005] This problem is solved by the subject matter of the independent claim. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
[0006] According to one aspect of the invention, a device for attaching an ammunition container for sport shooters to an object is specified, comprising a fastening device designed to be reversibly fixed to the object, a receptacle for an ammunition container, and a linkage connecting the fastening device and the receptacle, which has at least one joint.
[0007] The fastening device can be designed to at least partially grip the object. For example, it can include at least one screw clamp with a screw and a counter-bearing, whereby the object is clamped between the bearing and the counter-bearing. A screw clamp has the advantage of being particularly stable and able to withstand leverage forces. Alternatively, the fastening device can also be designed, for example, as a clamp.
[0008] The receptacle is designed to accommodate a standard ammunition container. It therefore has a sufficiently large contact surface or other means for receiving the ammunition container. The receptacle can be designed as a universal receptacle for a variety of differently designed ammunition containers. However, it can also be designed for use with a specific type of ammunition container.
[0009] In this and the following, the term "rod" refers specifically to a plurality of articulated rods, particularly those made of metal. However, it also encompasses other structures rigid enough to support the ammunition container. For example, the rod can also be formed from a sufficiently stiff wire. Such flexible yet stable mounts, which may be in the form of a metal tube or a spiral, are also known as "goosenecks."
[0010] The device has the advantage of allowing a mount for an ammunition container to be attached to the rifle rest or to a table or table edge available to each shooter at the shooting range. At the same time, it also allows the ammunition container to be positioned in close proximity to the shooter, so they do not have to change their position to reload. Furthermore, the device is easy to handle, lightweight, and convenient to transport, especially if it is designed to be compact and foldable. It can also be manufactured more cost-effectively than a tripod.
[0011] According to one embodiment, the linkage has at least two pivotably connected arms. These arms can, in particular, be pivotable about a vertical axis. The pivotability about a vertical axis allows the arms to span a horizontal plane in which the receptacle for the ammunition container, connected to the arms, can be pivoted and optimally positioned. The positioning in the vertical direction can be determined, in particular, by the height at which the mounting device is attached to the object, for example, to the rifle rest.
[0012] The pivotally connected arms have bores at their connection points through which a bolt is inserted. This bolt can be a threaded bolt or screw. This allows for 360° pivoting, which also makes it possible to fold the rod down to a small size for transport.
[0013] According to one embodiment, the rod has at least one telescopic extension. This has the advantage that the overall length of the rod can be relatively large, yet the rod can be collapsed to a small size.
[0014] According to one embodiment, the linkage has a total length of 30 to 60 cm. In particular, a total length of 40 to 50 cm has proven advantageous with regard to flexible positioning of the ammunition container on the one hand and sufficient stability on the other.
[0015] According to one embodiment, the fastening device is rotatable at least 90° around the longitudinal axis of the linkage relative to the linkage. This embodiment has the advantage that the device can be attached to both horizontal and vertical objects using the fastening device.
[0016] According to one embodiment, the receptacle for the ammunition container is formed by support areas with raised edges. These support areas serve as a resting surface for the ammunition container, with the raised edges preventing it from sliding sideways. When the ammunition container is placed on the receptacle, its base rests on the support areas, while the raised edges can at least partially rest against the side surfaces of the ammunition container.
[0017] According to one embodiment, a support area with a raised edge is dimensioned such that it can be positioned between two hinges of an ammunition container to fix the container horizontally. This embodiment has the advantage that the ammunition container can be fixed horizontally without requiring any further manual steps. The hinges of the ammunition container form projecting sections of the container, between which the raised edge of the support area is arranged to create a positive-locking connection in the horizontal direction.
[0018] According to one embodiment, the receptacle is formed by two support areas with raised edges, which are movable relative to each other to adjust the size of the receptacle. This embodiment has the advantage that ammunition containers of different sizes can be accommodated, with the receptacle being adaptable to their dimensions.
[0019] For example, one of the support areas may be arranged on a square tube that slides on the arm on which the other support area is located. The square tube can be fixed on the arm in a position where one support area is at the appropriate distance from the other.
[0020] The mounting can be secured, in particular, by means of a screw that clamps the square tube onto the arm. Alternatively or additionally, the support areas can be slid relative to each other against a spring force. If no means of securing the sliding support areas or the support area itself is provided, the mounting is achieved by placing the ammunition container into the holder.
[0021] According to one embodiment, the mount can be detachably attached to the rod. For example, the mount can be attached using a screw. This embodiment has the advantage that differently designed mounts can be used interchangeably for different ammunition boxes.
[0022] According to a further embodiment, the receptacle for the ammunition container has at least one magnet. This embodiment allows for particularly easy mounting and securing of ammunition containers with a magnetic base. According to another embodiment, the device further comprises a profile section, for example a U-shaped profile section, which is suitable for being placed on the rod, with a further receptacle in the form of a small container arranged on the profile section. This further receptacle, which may also have a magnet, can serve to hold empty cartridge cases.
[0023] Embodiments of the invention are described below by way of example with reference to schematic drawings. Fig. Figure 1 shows a device for attaching an ammunition container to an object according to an embodiment of the invention in the unfolded state, Fig. 2 shows the device according to Fig. 1 in the folded state, Fig. Figure 3 shows a section of the device according to Fig. 1 with an attached ammunition container, Fig. 4 shows the fastening device of the apparatus according to the Fig. 1, Fig. 2 to Fig. 3, Fig. Figure 5 shows a mounting for an ammunition container according to an embodiment of the invention, Fig. Figure 6 shows a mounting for an ammunition container according to a further embodiment of the invention and Fig. Figure 7 shows a mounting for an ammunition container according to a further embodiment of the invention.
[0024] Fig. Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a device 1 for attaching an ammunition container for sport shooters to an object, in particular to a rifle rest in a shooting range. The device 1 is essentially made of metal, for example aluminum, and has a fastening device 2 for attaching the device 1 to the object, as well as a receptacle 3 for an ammunition container. The receptacle 3 is connected to the fastening device 2 via a linkage 4.
[0025] In the illustrated embodiment, the linkage 4 has a first arm 5 and a second arm 6, which are connected to each other via a joint 7. The joint 7 is realized by a bolt 9 guided through corresponding bores in the arms 5 and 6, or by a screw. Thus, the arms 5 and 6 are pivotable about a vertical axis 8.
[0026] Recording 3 for the in Fig. One ammunition container (not shown) has a support rod 19 and two support areas 14 onto which the base of the ammunition container rests. The support areas 14 are connected to each other by the support rod 19 and have raised edges 15 that prevent the ammunition container from sliding sideways.
[0027] The mounting bracket 3 for the ammunition container is attached to the rod 4 by means of a screw 18. The screw 18 has a handle that can be easily operated to loosen the screw 18 and, if necessary, to replace the mounting bracket 3 with a differently designed or differently dimensioned mounting bracket for a different type of ammunition container.
[0028] In the illustrated embodiment, the fastening device 2 is designed as a screw clamp and is secured by means of Fig. 4 explained in more detail.
[0029] Fig. Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the device 1 according to Fig. 1 in a folded state.
[0030] In the folded state, arms 5 and 6 lie on top of each other. Furthermore, the receptacle 3 rests on arm 6. This is possible because the two arms 5 and 6 can be pivoted at least 180° relative to each other in the joint 7, and in addition, the receptacle 3 can also be pivoted at least 180° relative to arm 6 about the screw 18.
[0031] When folded, the device is hardly longer than the mounting device 2 plus the receptacle 3 and therefore hardly longer than conventional receptacles.
[0032] Fig. Figure 3 shows the image 3 with an attached ammunition container 16. This has a base that is based on the in Fig. The ammunition container 16 rests on three non-visible support areas 14 and has a lid connected to the base via hinges 17. In the illustrated embodiment, the ammunition container 16 has two hinges 17 on one side, spaced a distance a apart. To secure the ammunition container 16 in the receptacle 3, the support area 14 and its raised edge 15 are dimensioned such that their width b essentially corresponds to the distance a between the hinges 17. In particular, b is only a few millimeters smaller than a.
[0033] The mounting 3 is connected to the linkage 4 via the screw 18. If the screw 18 is not tightened, the mounting 3 can pivot about the vertical axis 20 relative to the linkage 4.
[0034] Fig. Figure 4 shows the fastening device 2, which is arranged at the other end of the rod 4. In the illustrated embodiment, the fastening device 2 has a screw clamp with a screw 22 in the form of a threaded rod with a handle, on which a plastic support 23 is mounted. The object to which the device 1 is to be attached, for example a rod, is placed between the support 23 and an abutment 24. The screw 22 is then turned until the object is clamped between the support 23 and the abutment 24.
[0035] The fastening device 2 is connected to one end of the rod 4 via a U-profile 12. A screw 21 firmly fixes the profile 12 to the rod 4. The fastening device 2 is screwed onto an end face 13 of the profile 12, the screw 21 allowing the fastening device 2 to rotate about the longitudinal axis 10 of the rod 4 in order to selectively attach the device 1 to a vertical or a horizontal object.
[0036] During operation, the shooter attaches the device 1 to the object using the fastening device 2, positions the ammunition container 16 on the mount 3 and opens it if necessary. Furthermore, he or she pulls the mount towards him or her by unfolding the linkage 4 until the ammunition container 16 is conveniently positioned.
[0037] Fig. Figure 5 shows a receptacle 3 for an ammunition container according to an embodiment of the invention. In this embodiment, one support area 14 is arranged on a square tube that is slidably mounted on the arm 6. The square tube 25 surrounds the arm 6. This allows the support area 14 mounted on the square tube 25 to be moved towards or away from the other support area 14 in order to vary the distance between the support areas 14. This enables ammunition containers of different sizes to be accommodated in the receptacle 3. The square tube 2 can be fixed to the arm 6 by means of a screw 26.
[0038] Fig. Figure 6 shows a mounting 3 for an ammunition container according to a further embodiment of the invention. This differs from the one in Fig. As shown in Figure 5, the support area 14, which sits on the square tube 25, is displaceable against the force of a spring 27 on the arm 6. In the illustrated embodiment, the spring 27 is attached laterally to the outside of the arm 6. Alternatively, several springs can be provided.
[0039] Fig. Figure 7 shows a mounting 3 for an ammunition container according to a further embodiment of the invention. This differs from the one in Fig.As shown in Figure 6, the arm 6 is designed as a C-profile section 28 and the spring 30 is arranged inside the C-profile section 28. For this purpose, two sliders 29 are arranged in the C-profile section 28, which are slidable along the longitudinal axis of the C-profile section 28. A support surface 14 is connected to each slider 29. In this embodiment, one of the sliders 29 can be fixed to the C-profile section 28 in a defined position. Alternatively, one of the sliders 29 can be omitted and the support surface 14 attached directly to the C-profile section 28.
