Abstract

Photovoltaic module, wherein a monolithic solar cell is cut into four segmented solar cells (113) comprising two edge cells (113a) with chamfers and two middle cells (113b) without chamfers, wherein the photovoltaic module comprises a plurality of solar cell strings (11), each of the solar cell strings (11) comprising a plurality of first solar cell segments (111) and a second solar cell segment (112), and wherein each of the first solar cell segments (111) successively comprises an edge cell (113a), a middle cell (113b), a middle cell (113b) and an edge cell (113a), and the second solar cell segment (112) comprises two edge cells (113a) and three middle cells (113b), or the second solar cell segment (112) comprises three edge cells (113a) and two middle cells (113b).
