Abstract
A person-carrying, non-lethal drone defense device, characterized in that it comprises: (a) a unified grip and action frame with external dimensions corresponding to the footprint of a service pistol (overall length ≤ 190 mm, height ≤ 130 mm), (b) an external hammer (SA / DA mechanism) or alternatively a hammerless firing pin system that selectively actuates a pyrotechnic propellant charge (9mm PAK or .380 ACP blank) or a CO2 gas cartridge (≤ 8 g) or a mechanical spring drive, (c) a drive mechanism selected from: (i) a gas-tight sabot with an expansion chamber that prevents any gas contact with the throw net, or (ii) a direct gas drive with at least four parallel gas channels with a cross-section smaller than the cross-section of the ballast weights,a central gas-tight net chamber and short shafts at the mouth end with a depth of less than 15 mm for securing the ballast weights, (d) at least four ballast weights made of a heavy metal with a density of at least 17 g / cm3, which are accelerated synchronously by the drive mechanism according to feature (c), (e) a high-performance throw net made of Dyneema SK99 or a fiber material with comparable cut resistance, which is folded for protection in the drive mechanism and is unfolded by the tensile force of the accelerated ballast weights, (f) a drop-in cartridge system in which the drive mechanism, ballast weights and throw net can be replaced as a pre-assembled unit without tools.
