Abstract

Data processing system for the predictive visualization of thermal activity, comprising: a) a computing unit for processing topographic terrain data; b) a storage unit or interface for providing topographic terrain data; c) a display unit for graphically representing a digital map; characterized in that the computing unit is configured to calculate a thermal probability index per raster cell of a digital terrain model based on a vector correlation of slope exposure, sun position and wind vectors, and to output these indices as an area heatmap overlay on the digital map display.
