The swivel carabiner (2) allows the bird feeder to rotate horizontally 360 degrees, and the tension springs (3) cause the bird feeder to swing. Only this 360-degree rotation and the damping of the swinging motion by the tension springs (3) ensures that the seed, with a smaller diameter than the mesh size of the feeder (8), remains in the feeder (8), which is suspended horizontally on axles (11). Vibrations at the bird feeder caused by wind, transport after filling the feeder (8), or by birds landing on or perching at the tray (22) and feeder (8) would otherwise cause the seed to fall out too quickly.This mobility allows the birds to dispense the grain feed in a targeted manner, and also manually by turning.
