Abstract

Device for hardware-based acquisition and cryptographic signing of ecological measurement data, comprising an IoT device (1) with a microcontroller, a sensor array (3) for acquiring physical and chemical measurement quantities, and a wireless transmission module (3f), characterized in that the IoT device (1) has a hardware-based security element (2) which permanently stores a private ECDSA signature key on the P-256 curve in the chip and is configured to generate a SHA-256 hash of the measurement data acquired by the sensor array (3) and to sign this hash with the private signature key within the security element (2) in such a way that the private signature key never leaves the security element (2).
