Abstract

Device (10) for driving a hand chain (46) of a manually operated lifting device, in particular a hand chain hoist (48), comprising: - a support body (12) with at least one fastening section (14) for detachably, torque-supporting fastening of the device (10) to a support structure (50) spaced apart from the lifting device, - a sprocket (18) rotatably mounted on the support body (12) with receptacles (20) for positively engaging chain links of the hand chain (46), - a drive section (26) non-rotatably connected to the sprocket (18) for detachably, torque-transmitting coupling with an external rotary drive motor (54), and - at least one guide roller (32, 34), wherein the device (10) is designed such that the distance between the axis of rotation of the sprocket (18) and the axis of rotation of the at least one guide roller (32, 34) is variable and at least in one tension position can be determined, such that the device (10) is between the clamping position,in which the hand chain (46) is held in positive engagement with the sprocket (18) by the at least one guide roller (32, 34), and is adjustable to a release position in which the distance is increased and the hand chain (46) can be disengaged from the sprocket (18) and inserted laterally into and removed from the device (10).
