Abstract

Filter apparatus for hot gas filtration, particularly for industrial applications, comprising at least one, but preferably several, filter candles (8, 8.1) arranged, for example, in a grid pattern in a filter housing (2), at least one of which has a filter body (10) consisting of a carrier substrate (14) extending over the planar extent of the filter body (10) and having openings (15), and porous sintered metal filling the openings (15) of the carrier substrate (14), and is connected in an electrical circuit of a current-energizing device of the filter apparatus (1), so that, due to the electrical resistance of the filter body (10), the current energizing the at least one filter candle (8, 8.1) results in its heating in the manner of a resistance heating element.
