Abstract

Buffer device (10) for buffering a vehicle against an object such as a building wall, wherein the buffer device (10) comprises: - a first plate (12) for attaching the buffer device (10) to the object, - a second plate (14), - an elastic damping element (16) arranged between the first plate (12) and the second plate (14), wherein: - at least one rod-shaped fastening element (18) extends from the first plate (12), - the elastic damping element (16) has a first through-hole (22) and the second plate (14) has a second through-hole (24) through which the rod-shaped fastening element (18) passes in the assembled state of the buffer device (10), wherein: - at least the second through-hole (24) has an increased diameter compared to the rod-shaped fastening element (18).so that a radial play (SR) is created between the second through-hole and the rod-shaped fastening element (18) and the second plate (14) can be fixed or is fixed to the rod-shaped fastening element (18) by means of at least one locking element (26).
