Abstract
Device for the early detection of plant diseases in hydroponically grown saffron crops, comprising an optical sensor unit for capturing plant images under diffuse lighting conditions, a processing unit with a neural image processing unit for analyzing the captured image data, a local data storage for storing reference patterns and analysis results, as well as an output unit for displaying or transmitting disease detection information, the processing unit is designed to enable early identification of disease-specific patterns in plant tissue through parallel and time-coordinated processing of multiple image areas.
