Abstract

Suction valve suitable for positioning in a port of an endoscope, for assisting a cleaning procedure for the endoscope, comprising: a main body comprising an internal cavity; a shaft comprising a tube structure made of a first material selected from a harder material, elastic material or a combination thereof, and comprising a first opening on a tube wall of the tube structure and a second opening on the bottom of the tube structure, wherein the first opening and the second opening fluidically communicate, defining an internal channel within the tube structure; a knob;an elastic element positioned between the knob and the main body, wherein the main body, the shaft, the knob and the elastic element are assembled such that the knob, together with the shaft, is configured to move back and forth between a first position in which the first opening of the shaft is at least partially aligned with a first opening of the connector and a second position in which the first opening of the shaft is not aligned with the first opening of the connector;
