Abstract

Recognition devices (2) with at least one unit (3), wherein the at least one unit (3) comprises a base body (10) open on one side and an image acquisition system with a plurality of cameras (6), wherein the image acquisition system is configured to capture an image of at least one stack of transport containers (4) stacked on a transport device (5) in order to detect the number of transport containers (4) stacked on the transport device, wherein the cameras (6) are arranged inside the base body (10) and the viewing angle of the cameras (6) projects through the opening, characterized in that the at least one unit (3) comprises at least one first light panel (7, 7') for homogeneous illumination of the viewing fields of the cameras (6), wherein the at least one first light panel (7, 7') has free spaces or free spaces are formed between the first light panels (7, 7') such that each camera (6) has a viewing angle through a free space.
