Abstract

Gripper (100) for inserting a joint prosthesis socket (200), comprising: - a head (110) configured to be hooked onto a socket holder (300), - a projecting engagement section (120) of the head (110), wherein the engagement section (120) is configured to engage in a cavity (220) bounded by the socket (200), and wherein the engagement section (120) is dimensioned such that, when the gripper (100) is attached to the socket (200), it occupies a certain volume in the cavity (220) of the socket (200) such that, when the gripper (100) is attached to the socket (200), the volume occupied by the engagement section (120) permits only a rotational movement of the gripper (100) about a longitudinal axis (AA') of the gripper (100).
