Abstract

Semiconductor device having a first long side and a second long side opposite the first long side, comprising: a semiconductor stack having a lower section and a mesa section connected to the lower section; a first lower contact structure on the lower section; a first mesa contact structure on the mesa section comprising: a first injection segment; a first extension segment connected to the first injection segment; a second injection segment separated from the first extension segment; and a second extension segment connected to the second injection segment; and a first electrode structure covering a portion of the mesa section and electrically connected to the first mesa contact structure.
