Abstract

Cylindrical battery cell comprising: a can formed in a cylindrical shape with an open top to have a receiving space formed therein, and having a base plate positioned in a lower section and formed from a magnetic material; an electrode assembly comprising a first electrode, comprising a first-electrode uncoated section excluding a section on which a first-electrode active material layer is formed, and a second electrode stacked between the first electrode and a separator, comprising a second-electrode uncoated section and excluding a section on which a second-electrode active material layer is formed, and which is received in the receiving space;a current collector coupled to the first electrode uncoated section for electrical connection, comprising a current collector plate having at least one section that comes into contact with the base plate for electrical connection and that is arranged between the electrode assembly and the base plate; and a cap assembly comprising an electrode terminal that is electrically connected to the second electrode uncoated section and coupled to a top of the socket to seal the receiving space, wherein the current collector further comprises a magnet and is prevented from being spaced away from the base plate by an attractive force acting between the magnet and the base plate.
