Abstract

A capstan winch for conveying a rope, comprising: at least a first rope guide and deflection shaft; at least a second rope guide and deflection shaft, which is arranged spaced apart from the first rope guide and deflection shaft; at least a rope path on which the rope is guided back and forth several times alternately around the first rope guide and deflection shaft and around the second rope guide and deflection shaft for its conveying, wherein at least the first rope guide and deflection shaft and the second rope guide and deflection shaft are each driven by a drive device for conveying the rope.
