Abstract

An extendable welding platform for the inclined web plate of a box girder, characterized in that it comprises a fixed protective frame and a movable platform; wherein the fixed protective frame is attached to a bridge pier, the fixed protective frame is open on one side and a rail is fixedly attached to the bottom of the fixed protective frame, projecting beyond the open side of the fixed protective frame; wherein the movable platform is slidably supported on the rail and comprises a vertical frame and several transverse frames attached to the vertical frame; wherein the transverse frames comprise an upper transverse frame, a middle transverse frame and a lower transverse frame;wherein the upper cross frame is fixed transversely at the upper end of the vertical frame, the middle cross frame is fixed transversely in the middle of the vertical frame, and the lower cross frame is fixed transversely at the lower end of the vertical frame; platform steel plates for standing by construction workers are fixedly attached to the upper cross frame and the middle cross frame; wherein rollers are rotatably connected in the lower cross frame, which roll appropriately in the track; wherein the track is fixedly connected to the base of the stationary protective frame.
