Abstract

Turbine engine with a compressor, a combustion chamber, a turbine and an exhaust gas stream directed downstream of the turbine, characterized in that the turbine engine comprises an integrated exhaust gas treatment unit which combines a selective catalytic reduction catalyst (SCR) for reducing NOx emissions and a heat exchanger for transferring heat from the exhaust gas stream in a common integrated component, wherein the exhaust gas stream flows through both the catalytically active surfaces and the heat-transferring areas of the same component.
