Abstract

A system (1) for therapeutic use in respiratory medicine in living beings (100), comprising a dielectric barrier discharge unit (2) for generating a cold plasma or atmospheric pressure plasma (14) and at least one inlet (11) for gas (13) of the dielectric barrier discharge unit (2) for generating the cold plasma or atmospheric pressure plasma (14), characterized by an outlet (12) for at least the generated cold plasma or atmospheric pressure plasma (14); a conduit (4) for the generated cold plasma or atmospheric pressure plasma (14); a supply element (6) for delivering the cold plasma or atmospheric pressure plasma (14) into the body of a living being (100), wherein the conduit (4) is connected to the supply element (6); and a control / regulation unit (8) which is bidirectionally connected at least to the dielectric barrier discharge unit (2) and the supply element (6).
