Abstract

A limiting device for integration into a mechanical clockwork, wherein the clockwork comprises an upper plate and a winding wheel driven by a mainspring shaft, characterized in that the limiting device comprises a first limiting element, a second limiting element and at least one stop structure arranged on the upper plate, wherein the first limiting element is movably attached to the upper plate via a fastening element and is pivotable about the fastening element, wherein the second limiting element is connected to the mainspring shaft or the winding wheel, and wherein, when the winding wheel is rotated by a predetermined angle under drive by the mainspring shaft, the second limiting element comes into contact with the first limiting element and presses it, so that the first limiting element pivots and rests against the stop structure to enable a limitation of the rotation.
