Telescopic tube comprising a first tube section and a second tube section; wherein the inner end of the second tube section is inserted into the first tube section, the outer end of the second tube section projecting from the first tube section, a locking mechanism being provided at the inner end of the second tube section; the locking mechanism comprising an end head and a holder; the end head being fixedly attached to the inner end of the second tube section, the end head being provided with a conical side surface the diameter of which gradually decreases from bottom to top, such that the diameter at the upper end of the conical side surface is smaller than the diameter at the lower end of the conical side surface;wherein the holder is provided with a cylindrical section mounted on the outer surface of the conical side face, wherein several windows are arranged on the cylindrical section spaced apart in the circumferential direction of the axis of the cylindrical section, with a rolling element being arranged in each window; wherein the holder is attached at the end head such that it can slide up and down between a lower position and an upper position; wherein, as it slides, the holder causes the rolling element to move up and down between the lower end and the upper end of the conical side face; wherein, when the holder is in the lower position, the rolling element reaches the lower end of the conical side face, the lower end of the conical side face pressing the rolling element firmly against the inner wall of the first tube part, thereby holding the first tube part and the second tube part in a locking state;wherein, when the holder is in the upper position, the rolling element reaches the upper end of the conical side surface, the rolling element rolling between the upper end of the conical side surface and the inner wall of the first tube section, thereby holding the first tube section and the second tube section in an unlocked state; wherein an elastic element is arranged between the holder and the end head, causing the holder to always tend to return to the lower position; wherein a circumferential fastening mechanism is provided between the first tube section and the holder, preventing rotation of the holder relative to the first tube section;wherein a transmission mechanism is provided between the end head and the holder which, when the end head is rotated, drives the holder so that it slides from the lower position upwards into the upper position, characterized in that: the end head is further provided with a cam section which is arranged below the conical side surface, wherein the side surface of the cam section has a lower curved contour which extends spirally around the axis of the cam section; wherein a contact section is provided at the lower end of the cylindrical section which bears against the lower curved contour; wherein the lower curved contour and the contact section form the transmission mechanism; wherein, when the end head is rotated, the lower curved contour forces the contact section to move upwards in order to drive the holder, when the end head is rotated, to slide from the lower position upwards into the upper position.
