A battery assembly characterized in that it comprises: at least two battery cells, wherein the battery cell comprises an outer casing, a cell terminal, and a compression ring, wherein the outer casing has a first wall, wherein a first through-hole is arranged throughout the first wall, wherein the cell terminal comprises a main body section, wherein the main body section is located in a first direction on an outside of the first wall, wherein the compression ring comprises a press section, a connecting section, and an extension section, which are successively connected to one another, wherein the extension section is welded to the first wall and forms a first weld area, wherein the connecting section surrounds an outer circumference of the main body section, and wherein the main body section is arranged between the press section and the first wall.to limit movement of the cell pole in a direction away from a center of the outer casing, wherein the first direction is parallel to a thickness direction of the first wall; a busbar serving to electrically connect the cell poles of at least two adjacent battery cells; a first sealing element, wherein the first sealing element is arranged in the first direction between the main body section and the first wall; wherein in a second direction a minimum distance between the first weld area and the first through-hole L1 in mm, wherein in the first direction a dimension of the extension section D1 in mm, wherein a compression rate of the first sealing element ξ is satisfied, wherein 2 ≤ (L1*D1) / ξ ≤ 34, and wherein the second direction is perpendicular to the first direction.
