Abstract

An interactive navigation system with dynamic, user-driven rerouting and real-time traffic-dependent route optimization, consisting of: a routing engine configured to generate a multitude of alternative routes between a starting point and a destination point; a route processing module connected to the routine engine, configured to decode the route geometry into coordinate sequences and divide each route into maneuver-based units corresponding to navigation actions; a map-based interaction interface connected to the route processing module, configured to receive spatial input from a user via a map-based interaction, capture the geographic coordinates of a selected location, and display the multitude of alternative routes;a rerouting module connected to the routine engine, route processing module, and map-based interaction interface, configured to validate spatial input by calculating a proximity distance between the selected location and a current route geometry, check the feasibility of the rerouting by calculating a distance between a current user location and the selected location, set the selected location as the modified starting point if both validation conditions are met, and cause the routing engine to recalculate a variety of alternative routes from the modified starting point to the destination point;A crowdsourcing-based traffic management module, connected to the routing engine and the rerouting module, is configured to receive traffic event reports with geographic coordinates, timestamps, and duration parameters and store them in a central database; perform temporal validation by comparing the current system time with an expiration time calculated from the timestamp and duration parameter of each traffic event; perform a spatial comparison between active traffic events and route geometries; and provide real-time traffic notifications based on validated traffic events affecting the routes via the aforementioned map-based interactive interface.
