Infrared microswitch

Abstract

Infrared microswitch comprising an infrared microswitch assembly (1), characterized in that the infrared microswitch assembly (1) comprises a base housing (3) and an upper housing (2) arranged on the base housing (3); a wave core (4) is movably guided through the upper housing (2) and is axially reversible; a blocking element (6) is integrally formed on the wave core (4); an infrared transmitter unit (9) and an infrared receiver unit (10) are arranged on the base housing (3) or on a printed circuit board (PCB), wherein the positions of the infrared transmitter unit (9) and the infrared receiver unit (10) are interchangeable; the blocking element (6) selectively interrupts or releases an infrared light path between the infrared transmitter unit (9) and the infrared receiver unit (10) when the wave core (4) is moved, in order to generate a trigger signal.
