Abstract

A solar module cleaning device with a dual robotic handling system, comprising: a primary cleaning robot that moves across the surface of one or more solar modules and includes a chassis, multiple drive wheels, and at least one motorized drive mechanism enabling multidirectional movement across the solar module surface; at least one cleaning unit mounted on the primary cleaning robot, comprising one or more rotating brushes for removing dust and dirt from the solar module surface, and a liquid dosing system with a water tank, a pump, and a controlled outlet for targeted spraying of liquid onto the solar module surface; a control unit with a microcontroller for controlling the drive mechanism, the cleaning unit, and the liquid dosing system;a wireless communication module connected to the control unit that enables remote control of the primary cleaning robot via the LoRa-UART communication protocol; a camera module mounted on the primary cleaning robot to provide real-time images to an operator;and a secondary robotic unit positioned remotely from the primary cleaning robot, the secondary robotic unit comprising a mobile base and a robotic arm with a gripping mechanism configured to lift, transport, and position the primary cleaning robot between different solar arrays, the secondary robotic unit being independently controlled via a wireless communication system and configured to eliminate the need for manual handling of the primary cleaning robot, the primary cleaning robot and the secondary robotic unit being configured to operate in a coordinated manner to enable continuous, remotely controlled cleaning and repositioning across multiple solar arrays.
