Abstract
Heat exchanger (10) for transferring thermal energy, comprising a core (12) having at least four side walls (16, 18, 20, 22, 24), at least one of which (16, 20) has fluid inlets (26), another of which (18, 22) has fluid outlets (28), and adjacent side walls (16, 18, 20, 22, 24) each merge into one another forming an outer edge (30), and at least one adapter element (14) having a frame (32) which, viewed perpendicularly to a respective side wall (16, 18, 20, 22) with fluid inlets (26) or fluid outlets (28), connects the fluid inlets (26) or fluid outlets (28) of that side wall (16, 18, 20, 24) 22) fully encompasses and is fully connected to the core (12).
