Abstract

Membrane (1) for a dewatering press for laundry, comprising a membrane disc (2), a collar (3) extending from the outer circumference of the membrane disc (2), wherein the membrane disc (2) and the collar (3) are made of a rubber-elastic material, a stiffening element (5) arranged in the collar (3) for stiffening the collar (3), and recesses (4) of the stiffening element (5) provided for connection with a press ram, characterized in that the rubber-elastic material of the membrane (1) has a projection (9) over the stiffening element (5) at the end of the collar (3) facing away from the membrane disc (2).
