Abstract

Mattress comprising: a plurality of fastening elements attached to an underside of an upper layer; wherein the plurality of fastening elements are also attached to an upper side of a comfort unit via a plurality of non-adhesive mechanical fasteners; wherein the comfort unit comprises a spring unit; and wherein the plurality of fastening elements are sewn or glued to the underside of the upper layer by means of a quilting machine, and wherein the fastening elements comprise at least one of the following: a) non-woven strips; b) folded non-woven strips; c) perforated non-woven fabric web; d) non-woven flaps; e) fine-mesh material; f) fabric strips; g) textile strips; h) folded textile strips; i) perforated web; and j) perforated textile web.
