Abstract

Seatpost battery assembly for an electrically assisted bicycle, characterized in that it comprises the following: a seatpost battery box, wherein a saddle connection section is provided at the top of the seatpost battery box; a bicycle frame middle tube, wherein a discharge plug facing the interior of the bicycle frame middle tube is provided on the side wall of the bicycle frame middle tube; a quick-release mechanism wherein the quick-release mechanism is attached to the upper end of the bicycle frame's central tube and can detachably secure the seatpost battery box in the bicycle frame's central tube; wherein an axially extending conductive contact arrangement is provided on the side wall of the battery box, wherein the conductive contact arrangement comprises an insulating base and an elastic conductive element provided on the insulating base, one end of the elastic conductive element being electrically connected to the battery cells in the battery box; the discharge plug fits the conductive contact arrangement, and when the seatpost battery box is axially adjusted to any height in the bicycle frame's central tube, the discharge plug can elastically rest against the elastic conductive element of the conductive contact arrangement and thus establish the electrical connection.
