Description
Technical field of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to the field of watchmaking, and in particular to watch movements. The invention specifically concerns a display device comprising a coupling mechanism with a watch movement. Technological background
[0002] In a watch movement's display mechanism, the relative positioning of a display with respect to a reference point, such as another display, a date window, or another fixed structure, is particularly important since it is a visible element. The problem of relative display positioning is always delicate to solve, as any misalignment, however minor, is highly noticeable to the user. Since correct display positioning is a significant indicator of quality, improper positioning can be very detrimental to a watch brand's image.
[0003] Displays must therefore be indexed very precisely relative to a given reference frame, generally formed by a structure of the watch movement or by another display. However, this indexing can pose difficulties in integrating the display into the kinematic chain of the watch movement during assembly, particularly at the interface with a drive mechanism designed to transmit energy from the watch movement to the display.
[0004] More specifically, due to machining tolerances, it can be difficult to obtain an indexing that meets the required aesthetic quality criteria.
[0005] EP 3 584 642 B1 discloses a display device according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0006] The present invention aims to overcome this drawback by allowing a display to be easily indexed to a drive mechanism of a watch movement. Summary of the invention
[0007] The invention overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks and, to this end, relates to a display device for a watch movement comprising: a display intended to be mounted movable relative to a structure of the watch movement and having an indexing device relative to said structure, and a driven wheel whose rotation causes the display to move; a drive mechanism comprising a driving wheel intended to rotate the driven wheel; a coupling mechanism comprising a transmission wheel meshing with the driving wheel and the driven wheel, said coupling mechanism being configured so that the center of rotation of the transmission wheel has a degree of mobility relative to the driving and driven wheels.
[0008] In particular embodiments, the invention may further include one or more of the following features.
[0009] In particular embodiments, the coupling mechanism includes a support on which the transmission wheel is fixed in a movably rotating manner, the support being configured to occupy a movable state in rotation around the axis of rotation of the driving wheel and a stationary state in which it is held in position by a locking member.
[0010] In particular embodiments, the transmission wheel forms a satellite of the driven wheel and the driving wheel is formed by a ring having internal teeth.
[0011] In particular embodiments, the driving wheel and the driven wheel are arranged coaxially.
[0012] In particular embodiments, the support has two radial arms, one of which carries the transmission wheel and the other of which is held by clamping in a notch of the watch movement structure by the locking member when the support is in the stationary state.
[0013] In particular embodiments, one of the arms includes an adjustment element, the activation of which allows the support to be moved when it is in the mobile state.
[0014] In particular embodiments, the free end of the arm carrying the transmission unit has the adjustment element. The latter is preferably formed by a notch.
[0015] In particular embodiments, the display comprises a rotating movable roller formed by two lateral flanges between which are interposed movable flaps rotating respectively along axes parallel to that of the roller, one of the flanges being kinematically linked to the driven wheel, the axis of rotation of the driving and driven wheels being coincident with that of the roller.
[0016] According to another object, the present invention also relates to a watch movement comprising a structure and a display device as previously described. Brief description of the figures
[0017] Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description, given by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: THE figures 1 and 2represent exploded perspective views of a display device for a watch movement according to a preferred embodiment of the invention; the figure 3 represents a perspective view of the device of the figure 1 .
[0018] Note that the figures are not necessarily drawn to scale for reasons of clarity. Detailed description of the invention
[0019] The invention relates to a display device 10 for a watch movement, comprising a display 11 for movable mounting relative to a structure 12 of the watch movement, such as a mainplate or bridge, and a drive mechanism 20 for receiving energy from a drive element of the movement in order to drive the display 11. The display device 10 further includes a coupling mechanism 30 configured to kinematically link the display 11 with the drive mechanism 20.
[0020] As shown in the exploded views of figures 1 to 3 The display 11 includes an indexing element 110 imposing a precise orientation of said display 11 relative to the structure 12. The display 11 also includes a driven wheel 111 whose rotation causes the display 11 to move. The driven wheel 111 is intended to be driven in rotation by the drive mechanism 20, and in particular, by a driving wheel 21 of the latter, via a transmission wheel 31 of the coupling mechanism 30.
[0021] The coupling mechanism 30 is advantageously configured so that the center of rotation of the transmission wheel 31 has a degree of mobility relative to the driving wheels 21 and driven wheels 111.
[0022] This feature advantageously allows the position of the transmission wheel 31 to be adjusted relative to the driving wheels 21 and driven wheels 111 in order to allow correct indexing of the display element.
[0023] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention shown in the figures 1 to 3 , the display 11 includes a roller formed by two lateral flanges 112 mounted movable in rotation on a driving shaft 22 and between which are interposed flaps 113 movable in rotation respectively along axes parallel to that of the flanges 112. Such a roller is for example in accordance with that described in patent EP3627240.
[0024] As seen on the figures 1 to 3The driven wheel 111 is arranged on the driving shaft 22 in a freely rotating manner and is kinematically linked to one of the flanges 112, such that the rotation of the driven wheel 111 causes the rotation of the flange 112, and therefore of the roller. In particular, the driven wheel 111 is fixed without any degree of freedom to said flange 112.
[0025] The indexing member 110 cooperates with the periphery of one of the flanges 112 in order to index the position of the display 11. In particular, in the preferred embodiment of the invention, said flange 112 has a plurality of radial notches 114, each corresponding to a position of the display 11. The indexing member 110 has a finger 115 configured to assume an indexing position in which it is engaged with a notch 114 of the flange 112 and a retraction position in which it is disengaged from the notch 114. The finger 115 is driven between the indexing and retraction positions by a drive shaft 116 on which it is fixed, which is moved according to a predetermined frequency, for example, once a day if the display 11 is a date display.
[0026] Alternatively, the indexing member 110 can index the display 11 passively, for example, by elastic deformation, in the manner of a jumper.
[0027] The driving wheel 21 is rotated by the driving shaft 22 to which it is fixed without any degree of freedom. Preferably, the driving wheel 21 is formed by a ring gear having internal teeth connected to a flange, as shown in the figure 1 . Thus, the driving wheel 21 and the driven wheel 111 are coaxial and their axis of rotation coincides.
[0028] In this configuration, the transmission wheel 31 forms a satellite of the driven wheel 111, which forms a solar wheel.
[0029] As illustrated on the figures 1 to 3 The coupling mechanism 30 comprises a support 32 on which the drive wheel 31 is fixed in a movable rotational manner. The support 32 is advantageously configured to occupy a movable state in rotation around the axis of rotation of the drive wheel 21 and a stationary state in which it is intended to be held in position relative to the structure 12 by a locking member 33.
[0030] In particular, the support 32 has two radial arms, the first arm 320 carrying the drive wheel 31 and the second arm 321 being held in place by clamping in a notch 120 of the structure 12 by the locking member 33 when the support 32 is stationary. This locking member 33 may advantageously be a screw designed to engage with the structure 12 via a helical connection, as illustrated in the figures. Thus, after being properly oriented, i.e., so that the drive wheel 31 meshes with the driving wheel 21 and the driven wheel 111, the support 32 can be clamped against the structure 12 by the screw.
[0031] The orientation of the support 32 can be achieved by manipulating an adjustment element 322 of the support 32, which, in the preferred embodiment of the invention, consists of a free end of the first arm 320. More specifically, the adjustment element 322 of the support 32 can be made by a notch intended to receive a blade of a tool, for example a screwdriver.
[0032] More generally, it should be noted that the implementation and realization methods considered above have been described as non-limiting examples, and that other variants are therefore conceivable.
