Claims

The clear width of the sharp edge 4 is twice the clear width of the opening 2 by a factor of 6. On the other side of the metal plate 1, the opening 2 is provided with an enlargement 5, which is formed when the opening 2 is punched. When the head 7 is tightened by the screw 8 against the annular projection 3, this projection is deformed so that it is pressed around the circumference of the screw shank 8. This creates a sealing connection between the plate 1 and the screw 8. When the screw 8 is at an angle relative to the fitting 1 (see Fig. 3), the pressure exerted by the head 7 causes an uneven deformation of the annular projection 3. In any case, the tight, sealing clamping of the screw in the annular projection 3 also results in a certain degree of centering of the screw. The annular projection 3 is expediently pressed in one operation together with the punching of the passage opening 2, by displacing a part of the material to be punched out of the fitting 1 into an annular recess of the punching die. Patent claim: Window frame fitting and the like, characterized in that a deformable, annular projection (3) directed towards the screw head (7) is provided around the opening (2) of the fitting (Ji) which allows the screw (8) or the like to pass through, and which preferably extends outwards into a taper (4) of a greater clear width than the screw opening (2) of the fitting (1).
