Claims

and when this flap is closed, they are pinched off. When the clockwork mechanism triggers the bottom flap, the feed, simultaneously moistened, enters the feeding trough. If, as shown in Fig. 1, two containers are mounted one above the other, the drop flap of the upper feed container (Fig. 2) is located entirely within the housing, such that, before the lower container is filled from above, it is pivoted upwards against the rear wall of the upper container by means of the lever-like axle of the upper drop flap, which is extended on both sides and curved in a lever-like manner. Here, it is initially held in place by a rubber band eyelet (Figs. 3 and 4) or other suitable attachment device. After the lower feed container has been filled, the raised drop flap is brought downwards into its locking position, so that the upper container can then also be filled. Emptying occurs from bottom to top through the lower container.Furthermore, when the two containers are arranged one above the other, the lever c1 (Figs. 2 and 3) can be pivoted forward around its bolt ti1 instead of laterally.
