Claims

The hearth is extended up its rear wall like a bridge or fire bridge to the top of the plate, or the cover plate itself is fitted with strips extending down to the hearth along its front and rear edges. The necessary passage slots are thus created between the side edges of the plate and the hearth. The drawing shows an embodiment of the new cooking kettle oven in which the insertable plate is pivotally mounted. Fig. 1 shows a vertical section through the lower part of the oven, Fig. 2 a vertical section offset by 1 / 2, and Fig. 3 a cross-section through the oven along line AB of Fig.

1. The firebox 2, which houses the grate and is inserted into the oven floor, can be covered by a plate 1 that is rotatable about a bolt 5. This plate can be pivoted from the covered position to the position 6 (shown in dashed lines) by means of a hand lever 4 attached to the bolt 5. The plate has cams 13 on its underside for support, which hold it at a distance from the upper edge of the firebox and allow it to be guided along a track 14. A bridge, conveniently formed from an angle iron, is provided at the rear end of the firebox. When the plate is pivoted into place, this bridge forces the flue gases to flow laterally against the oven walls through the side gap 3 between the plate and the top edge of the firebox, and to rise along these walls towards the flue opening leading to the chimney. At the same time, it prevents the gases from partially escaping to the rear and overheating the boiler floor.Furthermore, when the plate is swung out, they cannot be used to pull away directly from below the plate towards the trigger. To drain the water from the cooking kettle, a tap 8 (see Fig. 3) is inserted into its drain pipe. The tap's plug, which is rotatable by a hand lever, also carries an arm 9. This arm engages with a pin in a longitudinal slot of a link 10, which is pivotally attached to the control lever 4 of the cover plate. This couples the tap to the control lever 4 in such a way that it is held in the closed position when the plate is swung into position 6. When the plate is swung over the hearth 2, the tap plug can move freely, thus allowing the water to be drained from the kettle. Patent claims: I. Cooking boiler stove with a cover plate for the fire that can be inserted between the grate firing system and the boiler, characterized in that the cover plate (1) itself or the lever (4) serving to move or pivot it is connected to a link (10) which is coupled to the drain pipe (8) of the cooking boiler in such a way that, when the plate is extended, it locks the drain pipe in its closed position, but when the plate is in the position covering the fire, it allows the drain pipe to be opened.

2. Cooking kettle oven according to claim 1, characterized in that the linkage (10) coupled to the drain valve has a slot (11) in which a lever arm (9) attached to the valve plug or its adjusting knob engages.

3. Cooking boiler stove with a cover plate for the fire that can be inserted between the grate firing and the boiler, characterized in that the cover plate is held at a distance above 8s of the fire hearth by cams (13) or similar means such that the fire gases, when the plate is turned or moved into its position covering the fire, pass under the plate and escape through lateral gaps (3).

4. Cooking kettle stove according to claim 3, characterized in that, to create the lateral passage gaps for the combustion gases, the cover plate (1) is provided at its front and rear edges with strips extending down to the firebox, or the fire bridge of the firebox is extended up to the plate.
